What is Online Personal Training?
Online personal training is a bit different to your standard one-to-one sessions with a personal trainer in the gym. With online personal training, your trainer is available to you more often for guidance, you are held more accountable to your program & you are guided towards making healthy habit changes.
We are here to help you make positive changes that will not only get great results short-term but also help you maintain these results long-term. This is why we believe in providing a great value package which allows our clients to continue achieving new milestones with us over and over.
However, we are not there physically with you in the gym for each session. Instead, we provide you with all the tools you need to have a great workout on your own.
You’ll receive a comprehensive & balanced workout program to follow. This will be tailored to your own requirements, experience and goals. All the exercises will have both written instructions and a demo video that you can follow. We will provide form reviews using videos that you record. The mobile app allows you to track each workout and record your reps, sets & weight. This is a great way to monitor progress & challenge yourself to continue improving.
We hold you accountable and ensure that you are comfortable with the program by checking in with our clients twice a week. It’s a great chance to see how you are getting on with the workouts, if you’ve been able to complete them all and see how your nutrition is going. This also gives you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have or chat through any challenges you may have encountered during your workouts.
Because your results are driven just as much by what happens outside of the gym, we make sure that we have this area covered too. We provide a monthly nutrition review via nutrition log (often using just photos). We’ll give you some feedback on your food, type, quantity etc. We’ll suggest some nutrition goals for you to follow each day and support you to achieve these. We even provide a 400 recipe pack via PDF for you to try some healthy new recipes!
The check-ins and welcome call are also an opportunity to review anything else that may be standing in the way of you achieving your fitness goals. Sleep, stress etc. Your coach may be able to help you come up with some solutions to these challenges too.
Overall, the coaching approach is as much about providing workouts, tools & guidance in the gym as it is about helping you find a healthier lifestyle that works for you. We do not believe in a one-size fits all approach nor do we think that clients get the best results being told what to do. Coaching provides the best long-term health & fitness results because it is adaptable. It’s about finding a level of commitment, change and habits that you are comfortable maintaining. A balance between still enjoying life & doing the right things to achieve better health & a body you feel comfortable in.
